H055M - Swing Jaw Compensating Chuck

Howa original H055M series Swing Type Compensating Chuck. H055M has an embedded floating cam design that H055M can offer equal chucking force when gripping eccentric work-parts. When an eccentric part is loaded, it is supported by the chuck pilot center and the tailstock. Then the hydraulic cylinder pulls back to transmit the actuating force through the floating cam, the crank lever, and the top jaws to grip the work-part. Because of the unique floating cam design, each top jaw could transmit equal gripping force even if the traveling distance of each jaw is different.
